“Happiness with Words — Expressions of Joy” Activity

Happiness is always near; warming words we love to share.  No matter how busy we are, don’t forget to take a break to explore and savour the little happiness moments in life.  What does “happiness” mean to you?  A cup of freshly brewed hot coffee?  A good book that enthralls you?  Or a warm hug from your loved ones?  The Hong Kong Public Libraries and RTHK Radio 5 are jointly organising the “Happiness with Words — Expressions of Joy” online activity, inviting you to leave a comment to share your thoughts on “happiness”, and get a chance to win a HK$100 book voucher!

“Happiness with Words — Expressions of Joy” Activity

Activity Details:

 

  1. Activity period: From now until 12:00 noon on18 September 2026 (Friday)
  2. How to participant: Share your experience or feelings about “happiness” in the comments section (Word limit: 50, including Chinese and English words, numbers, punctuation and emojis); The 30 participants who get the greatest number of “likes” will each receive one HK$100 book voucher.

Terms and conditions:

 

  1. Participants may only use their personal Facebook account to participate once.  Using multiple accounts is not permitted.
  2. Participants must submit their entries by leaving a comment in the comments section of the Facebook post for “Happiness with Words — Expressions of Joy”.  Entries submitted by other means or posted elsewhere (including but not limited to replies to other comments, comments on photos under the post, comments on shared posts or reposts, private messages, and comments on other Facebook posts or pages) will not be accepted.
  3. The 30 participants who get the greatest number of “likes” will each receive one HK$100 book voucher.  In case of a tie in the number of “likes”, the award will go to the participants who published their posts earlier.
  4. Winners will be notified via an inbox message on the Hong Kong Public Libraries Facebook page “Reading is Joyful”, on or before 25 September (Friday). They must collect the voucher by the specified date, failing which they will be deemed to have forfeited the prize. When collecting the voucher, winners must present their identity document and award-winning notification to prove that they are the holder of the award-winning Facebook account.
  5. By participating in this activity, participants confirm that they have read, accept and agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
  6. All entries must not contain any of the following: (i) political content; (ii) racially discriminatory content; (iii) religious content; (iv) content of an objectionable nature; (v) content involving provocation, insult, defamation and/or personal attack; (vi) obscene material; (vii) violent content; (viii) any controversial, offensive and/or inappropriate material; (ix) names, products and/or services of any company and/or entity; (x) trademarks and/or logos of any third party; (xi) promotion of any brand, product and/or service; and/or (xii) content that violates the laws of Hong Kong.  Entries that contain any of (i) to (xii) above will be removed and the participants concerned will be disqualified without prior notice.
  7. The Organiser shall not be responsible for any information submitted late, lost, containing errors or rendered unreadable due to any computer, network and/or other technical problems.
  8. The Organiser reserves the final right to give out souvenirs to anyone without further notice.
  9. All personal data collected will be solely used for contacting participants and verifying their identity during this activity.  The data will be handled properly in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance and will be destroyed after the activity ends.
