Reference Book Lending / Interlibrary loan of Reference Books under Special Circumstances
To facilitate users’ access to up-to-date information during library opening hours, reference collections are generally to be used in libraries only. However, users who are unable to visit the library due to special reasons such as mobility difficulties, physical disabilities or chronic illnesses may apply for borrowing some of the reference books from the Hong Kong Central Library and six major libraries*. Applications will be considered by taking into account applicants’ special circumstances. For details, please contact the Hong Kong Central Library and six major libraries. The application form can be downloaded here. For same special reasons, users could also contact the above mentioned seven libraries if they intend to apply for the interlibrary loan of their reference materials to be transferred for inhouse use in other public libraries.
