Designer II (Salary: $16,755 per month)
(a) A Diploma or Higher Certificate in Design from a Hong Kong polytechnic university / polytechnic or Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education / technical college / technical institute, or equivalent, for which at least specialized in one of the following subjects: Visual Communication Design, Advertising Design, Multimedia Design, Environmental Design, Product Design, or equivalent;
(b) Meeting the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 [See Note (1)] or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent;
(c) Good knowledge in computer applications including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Sketchup (or equivalent 3D software on Mac platform).
(d) Proficiency in computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and word-processing in both Chinese and English;
(e) At least 2 years' full-time post-qualification working experience in design;
(f) Knowledge in photography, videography, animation, photo and video editing, page making and online publishing will be an advantage;
(g) Knowledge in library and cultural services, including performing arts, museums and films, will be an advantage; and
(h) Possession of creative mind, art and marketing sense.
(1) For non-civil service appointment purpose, 'Grade E' in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in HKCEE before 2007 is accepted administratively as comparable to 'Level 2' in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
(2) Application which did not provide all information as requested or which are not clear that the candidates have met the entry requirements will not be considered.
(3) All qualifications required should be obtained on or before the application deadline. Qualifications obtained after the application deadline will not be considered.
(4) Applicants who are invited to attend the recruitment interview will be required to provide their portfolio on the day of interview.
(a) the design services on contents in online platforms and social media and offline marketing materials such as banners, posters, pamphlets, publications and exhibition display;
(b) the production of artwork and technical drawing for printing and construction works;
(c) product design, photo shooting, photo and video editing; and
(d) performing any other duties as required.
Note: Appointee may be required to work irregular hours and on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms.
An end-of-contract gratuity may be granted to the appointee upon satisfactory completion of the contract with a consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity, plus the Government's contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will be equal to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. Rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), annual leave, maternity leave / paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.

(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications.
