Subject Talk Theme:
Delivered by a registered social worker, this talk focuses on the Circle of Security, a parenting approach developed and tested for years by three experienced American clinical psychologists Glen Cooper, Kent Hoffman and Bert Powell. Based on the attachment theory in child psychology, the approach has been proven to be practical and effective in helping parents raise their sensitivity to the emotional needs of children and enhance their own self-awareness while supporting children’s exploration in a secure environment, thereby facilitating a stronger parent-child bond.
