Thematic Exhibition - Unyielding Land, Eternal Heroes: 80th Anniversary of Victory in the War of Resistance
2025 marks the 80th Anniversary of Victory in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, and the Government Records Service is organising this exhibition through archives, newspaper, and other collections, guiding visitors to revisit the indelible mark left by the Japanese Occupation and to explore fragments of the anti-Japanese history of the Hong Kong Independent Battalion of the Dongjiang Column. Before 1941, Hong Kong’s general public enjoyed a stable life, and the city was bustling with activity. However, during the Japanese Occupation of Hong Kong (1941–1945), both the lives of the people and the city’s appearance underwent significant changes.
