Special Library Opening Hours

Hong Kong Public Libraries will have special opening hours on 16 February 2026 (Lunar New Year’s Eve) and will be closed whole day from 17 to 19 February 2026 (The First to Third Day of Lunar New Year). All online services and Self-service Library Station services will also be suspended from 0:30 a.m. on 17 February 2026 to 11:59 p.m. on 19 February 2026 for the maintenance work of the library system.

Free admission by reservation. Seats are limited. First-Come-First-Served.
Registration begins 3 weeks in advance for members of Paired Reading Clubs of Hong Kong Public Libraries.
Registration by phone begins 2 weeks in advance for the public, except the session at Hong Kong Central Library.

Please arrive 10 minutes before the talk starts. Registration becomes invalid when the talk begins. Seats will then be allocated to persons who are waiting at the venue.
