Central Reference Library

Located on the eighth and ninth floors, the Central Reference Library provides a wide range of collections and services. It has a total stock of more than 1,000,000 items, and divided into 6 departments namely the General Reference Department, the Hong Kong Studies Department, the Business and Finance Department, the Humanities Department, the Science and Technology Department and the Social Sciences Department; and the International Organizations Depository and Special Collections and the Hong Kong Oral History Collection.

Service counters are located on both floors where professional librarians are on duty to provide reference and information enquiries services. Besides, a wide range of electronic resources is available via the computer workstations including electronic databases, e-journals, ebooks and multimedia information, etc.
