Special Opening Hours and Maintenance of Library System

Hong Kong Public Libraries will have special opening hours on 31 December 2025 (New Year's Eve) and will be closed whole day on 1 January 2026 (The First Day of January). Online services, Self-service Library Station services and the real-time loan record update function at smart book return facilities will also be suspended from 0:30 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on 1 January 2026 for the maintenance work of the library system.

Remarks:
• For children aged 4 -12 with 1 of their parents.
• Conducted in Cantonese. Free admission. Reservation required.
• Registration begins two weeks before each workshop. Limited quota. First-come-first-served.
• Parents are welcome to obtain admission tickets at Information Service Counter located on the 1/F of the Hong Kong Central Library starting from 10:00 am, 16 April 2023 (Sunday).
• Quota: 30 pairs
