| Description: | The Central and Western District of Hong Kong is home to many long-standing temples which embody exquisite traditional craftsmanship and distinctive artistic features, they are key venues for various traditional festivities and rituals, such as celebrating the birthday of deities and holding the Kwun Yum Treasury Opening Festival, bearing witness to the evolution of folk beliefs and religious culture over the years. This talk will introduce these important cultural landmarks and provide insights into their rich historical, artistic and social values. |
