Description: | Hong Kong drama has developed since the post-war period. Since the 1970s, many drama clubs and large-scale performing arts groups have been established, indicating the further growth of local performing arts culture. As some theatre troupes gradually developed and local screenwriting talents joined in, creative drama became more prosperous and received more attention in the 1980s and 1990s. Afterwards, the development of Hong Kong drama became more mature. The exhibition showcases selected documents include playscripts and house programmes, etc., readers can understand more about documents on Hong Kong Drama. This document display is one of the activities in the Chinese Culture Promotion Series. The LCSD has long been promoting Chinese history and culture through organising an array of programmes and activities to enable the public to learn more about the broad and profound Chinese culture.
