Description: “Everlasting Cantonese Music” is a project curated by TUNG Tsz-ching, the huqin musician of the Windpipe Chinese Music Ensemble. The project re-creates the earliest Cantonese Music performance according to the Hong Kong first Cantonese Music textbook “The Essentials for Strings and Vocal Music” written by renowned master YAU Hok-chau in 1916 and explores the scenery of the Cantonese culture in the first half of the 20th century. The exhibition shows the characteristic and achievement of the project and lets the audience know more about the Cantonese Music.
