To promote literary creation and cultivate an interest in Chinese creative writing among the public.
Content and Form:
-
The workshops will be conducted in Cantonese or Putonghua.
-
Veteran editors or authors will explain the concept of literary creation in different genres, share their experience in literary creation and discuss with participants the Chinese original works they submitted.
-
The quota for each workshop is 30 persons.
Requirements for Personal Chinese Works:
- The works submitted must be original and must not exceed 1 000 Chinese characters.
- Applicants may submit their works regardless of whether the works have been published or not.
Workshop Details and Points to Note:
-
Each form is for application for one workshop only. Applicants who wish to apply for more than one workshop should use a separate form for each application.
-
As the three workshops cover different genres, applicants are required to submit their original Chinese works in the same genre as the selected workshop.
-
Applicants are advised to retain copies of their works. Regardless of the application result, submitted scripts will not be returned.
-
Successful applicants will be notified by the organisers one week before each workshop is held. Unsuccessful applicants will not be notified separately.
-
An attendance certificate will be issued to participants who have attained the required attendance rate, normally on the last day of each workshop.
-
Workshop schedules are subject to change with the organisers’ announcement as final.
