“Currency” is a medium of exchange that has purchasing power, and can be saved up and exchanged for daily necessities when the need arises. This talk will give an account of the evolution of Hong Kong currency in relation to Hong Kong people’s daily lives, and how the currency reflects social changes and public sentiments.
