Special Opening Hours and Maintenance of Library System

Hong Kong Public Libraries will be closed whole day on 3 April 2026 (Good Friday), and will have special opening hours on 4 April (The day following Good Friday), 6 April  (The day following Ching Ming Festival) and 7 April (The day following Easter Monday). All online services and Self-service Library Station services will also be suspended from 9:00 p.m. on 2 April to 7:00 a.m. on 4 April 2026 in phases for the maintenance work of the library system.

Octopus debuted Octopus Card for transportation in 1997 for fast and small transactions. There are more than 16 types of e-wallets in Hong Kong.
