Subject Talk Theme: There are many types of intangible cultural heritage (ICH). According to the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, ICH is manifested in oral traditions and expressions (including language as a vehicle of the ICH); performing arts; social practices, rituals and festive events; knowledge and practices concerning nature and the universe; and traditional craftsmanship. This subject talk will introduce the ICH items of Hong Kong associated with food and drinks, such as herbal tea, as well as Chinese dim sum and pineapple bun and their making techniques.
