Subject Talk Series on “Chronicles Unveiled: A Historical Exploration of Hong Kong”

In 2025, several historical events hold significant commemorative value for Hong Kong. These events not only profoundly influenced development of Hong Kong but also shaped its unique cultural and social landscape. Examples include the 80th anniversary of victory in the War of Resistance and the 100th anniversary of Hong Kong Civil Aviation, these events have contributed to significant changes in Hong Kong. This series of talks will enable the participants to gain a deeper understanding of Hong Kong's historical context, key events and their impact on contemporary society.

Heroism During the War: Untold Stories of Hong Kong

Description:	2025 is the 80th anniversary of the victory of War of Resistance. The speakers aim to deepen the participants' understanding of the war history, especially how Hong Kong joined the War of Resistance and many stories of war heroes who sacrificed themselves for protecting their country, the speakers will highlight the situation in Hong Kong during the War of Resistance and the involvement of the Hong Kong and Kowloon Independent Brigade. They will explore the history of Hong Kong during the War of Resistance in great details and unveil many untold war stories which will enable the participants to comprehensively acquaint the experiences of war heroes and their descendants.
