Echoes of the Imperial Stable – Tang Dynasty Steed Collage Workshop

Remarks:	Programmes are conducted in Cantonese. Prior registration starts on 20 Jun 26 (Sat) and can be made by phone or in person at the respective library on a first come, first served basis. Participation is free. If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above or a Black Rainstorm Warning Signal or "extreme conditions" announced by the Government is in force 3 hours before the event commences, the event will be cancelled or postponed.

“The Six Steeds of Zhaoling” is a set of famous stone relief sculptures, depicting the six warhorses ridden by Emperor Taizong of Tang, Li Shimin, during his military campaigns. The workshop uses one of the horses from the sculptures as the basis. The instructor will teach participants how to create collage art using thick fabric, cardboard, and shiny handmade paper to highlight the dynamic movement of the royal warhorses.

This workshop is also one of the activities in the Chinese Culture Promotion Series. The LCSD has long been promoting Chinese history and culture through organising an array of programmes and activities to enable the public to learn more about broad and profound Chinese culture.
