Special Library Opening Hours

Hong Kong Public Libraries will have special opening hours on 16 February 2026 (Lunar New Year’s Eve) and will be closed whole day from 17 to 19 February 2026 (The First to Third Day of Lunar New Year). All online services and Self-service Library Station services will also be suspended from 0:30 a.m. on 17 February 2026 to 11:59 p.m. on 19 February 2026 for the maintenance work of the library system.

Remarks: Reservation starts from 2026/7/11 (Sat). Prior registration can be made by phone or in person at the respective libraries. Conducted in Cantonese. Participation is free. First come, first served.

If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above or a Black Rainstorm Warning Signal or "extreme conditions" announced by the Government is in force 3 hours before the event commences, the event will be cancelled or postponed.
