Special Opening Hours and Maintenance of Library System

Hong Kong Public Libraries will have special opening hours on 31 December 2025 (New Year's Eve) and will be closed whole day on 1 January 2026 (The First Day of January). Partial online services will also be suspended from 0:30 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on 1 January 2026 for the maintenance work of the library system.

Remarks: •Conducted in Cantonese and free of charge.
•Reservation may be made from 9:00 a.m., 25.10.2025 (Saturday) onward by by phone or in person at Sheung Shui Public Library. Available on a first-come-first-served basis.
•Please arrive 5 minutes before commencement of the event. Registration becomes invalid when the workshop begins. Seats will then be allocated to those waiting on-site.
•If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above or a Black Rainstorm Warning Signal or "extreme conditions" announced by the Government is in force 3 hours before the event commences, the event will be cancelled or postponed.
