Marriage marks a significant new stage of life for many couples, with wedding ceremonies and celebrations highlighting the rich traditions and culture of a society. In Hong Kong, the customs and registration associated with marriage reflect Hong Kong’s uniqueness in bringing together both Eastern and Western cultures. This exhibition will take the audience on a journey to revisit the development of marriage system and customs in Hong Kong and unveil lesser-known stories behind the archival records.
