Description: By means of creative hand-drawn stamps, this event showcases the distinctive culinary cultures and intangible cultural heritage items of traditional craftsmanship of the "9+2" Cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (namely Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen and Zhaoqing, as well as Hong Kong and Macao).

1/ Shanghai - Hong Kong: Preserving Culture Through Children's Readings

Description: The Hong Kong Central Library, in collaboration with the Shanghai Children's Library, will present the exhibition "Shanghai - Hong Kong: Preserving Culture through Children's Reading". By introducing the history of the two libraries and their children's reading services, the exhibition allows readers from both cities to gain a deeper understanding of each other's library development and evolution of children's reading culture.
The exhibition also highlights children's books related to the 24 solar terms, Chinese festivals and traditional Chinese culture through the "Bao Bao Explains the Solar Terms" display panels and a curated selection of books recommended by librarians from both places, with a view to promoting traditional Chinese culture, fostering a sense of shared cultural identity and cultivating a reading culture among children in Shanghai and Hong Kong.
