Latest arrangements on services of Hong Kong Public Libraries

To tie in with the Government’s latest anti-epidemic measures, members of the public must comply with the requirements of the Vaccine Pass and are required to scan the "LeaveHomeSafe" QR code or complete Visitor Information Record Form before admission for necessary contact tracing if a confirmed case is found. Calculation of overdue fines has been resumed from 5 May for late return of library items. Readers are advised to renew their borrowed items on time or return the overdue items as soon as possible in order not to incur overdue fines.

Education Resource Centre Collection

The Education Resource Centre (ERC) now stocks more than 50,000 items, including books, journals, electronic resources and e-databases, covering various subjects on education.

Location: Education Resource Centre , 9/F of Kowloon Public Library
Type: Reference Material, available for public use in the library.


This Centre is set up by the Hong Kong Public Libraries of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department for use by the general public, students, teaching professionals and working populations who strive for continuing study and self-learning in education and related subjects. The ERC is located on the 9th Floor of Kowloon Public Library and has an area of about 200m2 . In addition to providing a reference collection on all aspects of education to the general public, it also provides students and working populations with information on language learning resources particularly in Chinese and English.
