Books, periodicals, government publications, audio-visual and multimedia materials, CD-ROM databases and maps.

Central Reference Library, 8/F of the Hong Kong Central Library

Reference Library of the City Hall Public Library, the Kowloon Public Library, the Ping Shan Tin Shui Wai Public Library, the Sha Tin Public Library, the Tsuen Wan Public Library and the Tuen Mun Public Library.

Introduction:

The Hong Kong Collection is a comprehensive collection of Hong Kong related materials and the most heavily used special collection in the reference libraries, providing members of the public with current and retrospective information on Hong Kong. The Collection at the Hong Kong Central Library is the largest of more than 150,000 items, containing historical documents and government publications, including a complete run of government gazettes since 1853, administrative and annual reports of the government since 1879, departmental reports, district board minutes and papers, statistical information and thematic publications.
