Bridging East and West: Exhibition on Literary Translation in Hong Kong
| Date: | 2022/1/2 (Sunday) to 2022/8/31 (Wednesday) |
| Time: | Library Opening Hours |
| Venue: | Hong Kong Central Library (8/F Rare Book Reading Room) |
| Description: | The history of literary translation in Hong Kong can be traced back to the works by the missionary in the mid-19th century. Stepping into the 21st century, the fruitful translated works have already reflected a diversity of the translation skills and forms, facilitating the cultural interaction between East and West, as well as the exchange of thoughts and ideas. Showcasing the books and the manuscripts selected from the Documents Collection Campaign, the exhibition revisits the trend and characteristics of literary translation in Hong Kong. |
