As one of the earliest developed districts, the Central and Western District is the cradle of education in Hong Kong. There are many prestigious old schools in the district, where every piece of school history and every old school building bear testimony to the history and development of education in Hong Kong.
In this talk, apart from giving a general picture of the preservation of historic school premises in the district, the speakers will also take participants to an in-depth look at several historic schools with the aid of 3D modelling technology, and give an account of the architectural features and current uses of these school premises, as well as the key issues in school building preservation. |
