Description: | “Everlasting Cantonese Music” is a project curated by TUNG Tsz-ching, the huqin musician of the Windpipe Chinese Music Ensemble. The project re-creates the earliest Cantonese Music performance according to Hong Kong first Cantonese Music textbook “The Essentials for Strings and Vocal Music” written by renowned master YAU Hok-chau in 1916 and explores the scenery of the Cantonese culture in the first half of the 20th Century. As the curator of the project, Tung Tsz-ching will be the host of the talk to present about the motivation, research method and experiment and also the difficulty in the project. |
