He composed numerous musical works, including Meng Jiang Nu Crying at the Great Wall, Zheng He Sailing the Western Ocean and The Stone Maiden, as well as conducted various Chinese orchestras, choirs and dance troupes. He made remarkable contribution to the development of national Chinese music in Hong Kong.
