“Shakespearean Playtime: Parent-child Emotional Exploration Series” Workshop

Time:	11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
Venue:	Lai Chi Kok Public Library
Remarks:	Target: Children aged ５ - 12, to be accompanied by a parent. Children of all abilities are welcome to participate. Enrolment starts on 12 April 2026. Programmes are conducted in Cantonese. Prior registration can be made by phone or in person at the respective libraries on a first come, first served basis. Participation is free. If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above or a Black Rainstorm Warning Signal or "extreme conditions" announced by the Government is in force 3 hours before the event commences, the event will be cancelled or postponed.

“A Midsummer Night's Dream”
Theme: Hope

The workshop recreates scenes from Shakespeare's works through storytelling. Participants will explore the narratives and characters' emotions with handicrafts and games so as to recognise and manage these emotions in daily lives. Parents can gain insight into children's inner feelings and encourage communication and understand their children.
