Special Opening Hours and Maintenance of Library System

Hong Kong Public Libraries will have special opening hours on 31 December 2025 (New Year's Eve) and will be closed whole day on 1 January 2026 (The First Day of January). Online services, Self-service Library Station services and the real-time loan record update function at smart book return facilities will also be suspended from 0:30 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on 1 January 2026 for the maintenance work of the library system.

•　Conducted in Cantonese. Free admission by reservation.
•　Please arrive on time, otherwise the reservation will be cancelled and the seats will be allocated to those waiting at the venue.
•　Registration starts on 30.11.2025. Registration tel.: 2921 7106. Limited seats are available on a first-come-first-served basis.
•　If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above or a Black Rainstorm Warning Signal or "extreme conditions" announced by the Government is in force 3 hours before the activity commences, the activity will be cancelled.
