The Revered Cantonese Opera Playwright YIP Shiu-tuck (1929-2009) dedicated his life to Cantonese opera. He wrote many popular Cantonese operas and Cantonese operatic songs for different troupes and singers. He made remarkable contribution to Cantonese opera education. He wished his scriptwriting course students can learn from his experience and would enable the spirit of Cantonese opera to pass on from generation to generation.
The exhibition showcases the manuscripts, photographs, house programme, leaflets and newspaper clipping. Readers can find out more about this renowned playwright.
