To tie in with the Government’s latest anti-epidemic measures, members of the public must comply with the requirements of the Vaccine Pass and are required to scan the "LeaveHomeSafe" QR code or register their names, contact number and the date and time of the visit before admission for necessary contact tracing if a confirmed case is found. Calculation of overdue fines has been resumed from 5 May for late return of library items. Readers are advised to renew their borrowed items on time or return the overdue items as soon as possible in order not to incur overdue fines.

To get to know about the world begins with exploring natural science. Let’s study the basic knowledge of science in order to understand the earth we are living in! We have prepared the resources guide which collected local and overseas related periodicals and categorized them into Astronomy, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Earth Science.

Readers are welcome to retrieve the periodicals from either Current or Back Issues of Newspapers and Periodicals Reading Area of Hong Kong Central Library. Readers can also login to the Hong Kong Public Libraries Electronic Resources homepage, through the HyRead and Flipster e-Magazine or China Academic Journals Full- text Databases (CJFD) to read the relevant periodicals.
