Internet Reference Service Policy

 Types of questions we can answer:

  • Brief information where the answer can be obtained from published sources or Internet Websites such as company directory, historical facts, etc.
  • Requests for suggestions on appropriate sources for research. When your research requires lengthy research, we will suggest sources you can consult.

Questions we are unable to answer:

  • Questions related to obscene or objectionable subject matter.

Questions we are unable to answer but may be able to provide some guidance:

  • Questions that require analysis and opinions regarding issues, or questions that require original research on your behalf.
  • Medical and legal questions - we can recommend and provide information sources to your research, but we are not in any position to offer professional medical and legal advice.
  • Translation of words or passages
  • Lengthy research on a topic
  • Quiz questions
  • Homework, projects, essays and assignments
