Latest arrangements on services of Hong Kong Public Libraries

In view of the latest situation of COVID-19, the Hong Kong Public Libraries will adopt enhanced precautionary measures. While opening hours of the libraries have resumed normal and the current admission arrangement maintained, the cleaning sessions remain and seating will be reduced for social distancing. Please refer to the library notice on the special arrangements details.

As the book drop service, self-service library stations and all public libraries have resumed normal opening hours from 7 July, counting of overdue fines shall be resumed from 20 July 2020. Readers are advised to timely renew or return the library materials in order not to incur overdue fines.

New service hours of mobile library stops in Eastern District

In order to enhance the public library services provided in Eastern district, the service hours of the mobile library stops at Oi Tung Estate in Aldrich Bay and Heng Fa Chuen will be extended starting from 14 July 2020. Details are as follows:

Location: Adjacent to Oi Yuk House, Oi Tung Estate, Aldrich Bay, Eastern District
Schedule: Thursday (except public holidays) 10:00am – 1:00pm
2:00pm – 6:00pm
Alternate Tuesday (except public holidays) 10:00am – 1:00pm
Location: Adjacent to Block 6, Shing Man Lane, Heng Fa Chuen, Chai Wan
Schedule: Saturday (except public holidays) 10:00am – 1:00pm
2:00pm – 6:00pm
Alternate Tuesday (except public holidays) 2:30pm – 6:00pm

In addition, the mobile library stop at Kut Shing Street, Chai Wan will be suspended after the business day on 30 June 2020 (Tuesday). Readers may visit Chai Wan Public Library or other public libraries to use library services.
