Mobile Payment Service
Points to Note
- You may login to “My Library” mobile app and pay fees and charges such as overdue fines and reservation fees by Apple Pay, Google Pay, designated credit cards (JCB, MasterCard, UnionPay or Visa), FPS, Alipay, WeChat Pay or UnionPay app.
- For replacement costs of lost library materials and outstanding charges being recovered from legal actions, you are required to settle the payment in person at any public libraries. Mobile payment through the apps is not accepted.
- All fees and charges must be paid in full in a single transaction.
- Please check the payable amount carefully in the “Charges” section before making the mobile payment. No refund will be made except under special circumstances. Refund, if any, will be made to the credit card account/bank account linked with FPS/digital wallet used for payment.
- Once mobile payment is selected, the system will link with the payment gateway of the designated bank. Please do not close or switch the app during the entire process. If you choose to pay by FPS, Alipay, WeChat Pay or UnionPay app, please save the screenshot of the payment QR code, open the relevant app, import the payment QR code within 3 minutes and complete the payment within 10 minutes.
- Alipay (Mainland) and WeChat Pay (Mainland) ONLY support payment by users who register with People’s Republic of China resident identity cards. For digital wallets registered by Hong Kong residents with “Mainland Travel Permits for Hong Kong and Macau Residents” (commonly known as “Home Return Permits”), payment cannot be made by Alipay (Mainland) and WeChat Pay (Mainland).
- An acknowledgement page will be shown upon completion of payment. Please record the Transaction Reference Number or save the screenshot for future reference, and double-check whether the payable amount in the “Charges” section has been settled. No separate receipt will be issued for mobile payment.
- Some credit card issuing banks do not support mobile payment. For enquiries, please contact your credit card issuing bank.
- The QR code payment function provided in each mobile banking app or digital wallet may be different. Please contact the relevant bank or digital wallet provider for details.
- If you have doubts about payment items on your bank statement, please contact your bank.
