Special Library Opening Hours

Hong Kong Public Libraries will have special opening hours on 16 February 2026 (Lunar New Year’s Eve) and will be closed whole day from 17 to 19 February 2026 (The First to Third Day of Lunar New Year). All online services and Self-service Library Station services will also be suspended from 0:30 a.m. on 17 February 2026 to 11:59 p.m. on 19 February 2026 for the maintenance work of the library system.

Renovation of Tsuen Wan Public Library

To enhance library facilities and reading environment, renovation works have been carried out in phases on different floors of Tsuen Wan Public Library starting from July 2021.   When works are in progress, the Library will maintain its operation and provide limited services to the public. The following facilities are open currently:

4/F    Students’ Study Room, Customer Service Counter (includes Reference Library Service and Newspapers and Periodicals Service) and Express Check-in Area

5/F    Children’s Library and Extension Activities Room

6/F    Adult Library, Reference Library (Temporary), Newspapers and Periodicals Reading Area (Temporary)

7/F    Multimedia Library and Computer and Information Centre
