Special Library Opening Hours

Hong Kong Public Libraries will have special opening hours on 16 February 2026 (Lunar New Year’s Eve) and will be closed whole day from 17 to 19 February 2026 (The First to Third Day of Lunar New Year). All online services and Self-service Library Station services will also be suspended from 0:30 a.m. on 17 February 2026 to 11:59 p.m. on 19 February 2026 for the maintenance work of the library system.

Mobile Library 7 will suspend service from 23-28.3.2026 for routine preventive maintenance.  We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.

The service points to be affected are as follows:

Adjacent to Hoi Ning House, Hoi Fu Court, Mong Kok West 24.3.2026 (Tuesday) & 26.3.2026 (Thursday) 
Adjacent to Block 4, Phase A, Sceneway Garden, Lam Tin 25.3.2026 (Wednesday)
Carpark, Wah Yuen House, Chuk Yuen (South) Estate, Wong Tai Sin 27.3.2026 (Friday)
Adjacent to Ngan Fung House, Fung Tak Estate, Wong Tai Sin 28.3.2026 (Saturday)

During the above period, readers who need to borrow or return library materials may visit other public libraries. Loan items can also be renewed by telephone on 2698 0002 / 2827 2833 or online at http://www.hkpl.gov.hk. For enquiries, please contact our mobile library staff at 2926 3056.
