Special Library Opening Hours

Hong Kong Public Libraries will have special opening hours on 16 February 2026 (Lunar New Year’s Eve) and will be closed whole day from 17 to 19 February 2026 (The First to Third Day of Lunar New Year). All online services and Self-service Library Station services will also be suspended from 0:30 a.m. on 17 February 2026 to 11:59 p.m. on 19 February 2026 for the maintenance work of the library system.

Mobile Library 4 will suspend service from 16 March 2026 to 28 March 2026 for routine preventive maintenance.  We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. 

The service points to be affected are as follows:

Discovery Bay 17.03.2026 (Tuesday), 19.03.2026 (Thursday), 24.03.2026 (Tuesday) & 26.03.2026 (Thursday)
Pui O 20.03.2026 (Friday) & 27.03.2026 (Friday)
Shui Hau 21.03.2026 (Saturday) a.m. & 28.03.2026 (Saturday) a.m.
Tong Fuk 21.03.2026 (Saturday) p.m. & 28.03.2026 (Saturday) p.m.

During the above period, readers can use various electronic library services through the Library website (http://www.hkpl.gov.hk).  Loan items can also be renewed by telephone on 2698 0002/ 2827 2833 or Library website.
