The collection offers Chinese e-books published in the Mainland.  Library card holders of the Hong Kong Public Libraries can browse and borrow e-books through the platform of Apabi Chinese eBooks.

Apabi Chinese eBooks (Adult Collection) covers a wide range of subjects, including philosophy, social sciences, politics and law, economics, culture, languages, literature, arts, history, geography, natural science, industrial technology, transportation, sports and fitness, etc.  The collection includes texts suitable for general readers as well as specialised research and reference works for professionals and advanced readers.

 To borrow e-books, readers are required to download the Apabi Reader from the homepage of Apabi Chinese eBooks.  Please click Apabi Reader  to download and follow the instructions to install the software.  The function of online reading is available for immediate access to the contents of e-books by readers.

When readers borrow an e-book, it will be downloaded to the computer being used.  Readers are therefore advised not to use public computer workstations such as those in public libraries to borrow e-books.
