Launch of "Popular Good Reads@SUEP" services
The Hong Kong Public Libraries launches the Popular Good Reads@SUEP service on 28 February 2025. A collection of selected popular e-books in traditional Chinese from the "Nowbook Digital Library" e-book platform, covering such topics as literature and fiction, household knowledge, spiritual support, humanities and social science, business and economics, as well as medicines and healthcare. Launch of "OverDrive Chinese eBooks" services
The Hong Kong Public Libraries has launched the OverDrive Chinese eBooks service since 20 December 2024. This e-books collection offers a variety of Chinese e-books, covering such topics as literature and fiction, spiritual support, household knowledge, technology and medicines, business and economics, social sciences, as well as history and biographies. Good reads for children and youths are also included. Apart from online reading with library accounts on personal computers or mobile devices anytime and anywhere, readers may also download e-books for offline reading via the Libby mobile app. For details of the OverDrive Chinese e-Books service, please visit the e-book webpage.

Hong Kong Public Libraries had ceased its subscription to “Scholastic GO!” online database since 1 April 2025. Readers may access the e-Databases for multi-discipline related information via Hong Kong Public Libraries webpage.
