Hong Kong Oral History Collection - Hong Kong Museum of History
Introduction
The Hong Kong Museum of History collects and preserves artifacts related to Hong Kong history and conducts a wide variety of museum programmes, such as exhibitions, educational activities and publications, so as to preserve and promote Hong Kong's historical and cultural heritage, and enhance public awareness and understanding of the history and culture of Hong Kong.
Major Exhibitions on Hong Kong Studies
“The Hong Kong Story”permanent exhibition of the Hong Kong Museum of History occupies an area of 7,000 m2. Through the display of over 4,000 exhibits with the use of 750 graphic panels, a number of dioramas and multi-media programmes, and enhanced with special audio-visual and lighting effects, it outlines the natural environment, folk culture and historical development of Hong Kong vividly.
