AccessScience
Features the McGraw Hill Encyclopedia of Science & Technology and weekly late-breaking news articles. Covers all areas of science and technology plus full-text features of biographies, news, learning resources, study guides and many other related sites.

China Doctoral Dissertations Full-text Database
It offers full-image access to over 90,000 dissertations from 600 academic institutions in China starting from 1999 onwards. The database is divided into 10 series according to the subjects of the dissertations and the Hong Kong Public Libraries has subscribed to 4 of them:

Literature/ History/ Philosophy, Education and Social Sciences, Economy and Management, and Politics/ Military Affairs/ Law.

China Journals Full-text Database (CJFD)
It offers full-text and full-image access to over 8,000 serials published in China in the fields of science and engineering, agriculture, medicine/ hygiene, literature/ history/ philosophy, politics/ military affairs/ law, education and social sciences, electronics technology and information science, economy and management. Articles are mainly written in Chinese and only some of them are English articles.

China Masters' Theses Full-text Database
It offers full-image access to nearly 680,000 theses from 600 academic institutions in China starting from 1999 onwards. The database is divided into 10 categories according to the subjects of the dissertations and the Hong Kong Public Libraries has subscribed to 4 of them:

Literature/ History/ Philosophy, Education and Social Sciences, Economy and Management, and Politics/ Military Affairs/ Law.

eLibrary
It is an online collection of scholarly journals, magazines, newspaper, transcripts, e-books and multimedia resources designed for schools and libraries to supplement research. It also offers comprehensive and integrated literary resources through the ProQuest Learning: Literature. Students and researchers can also find valuable historical reference material covering global history from ancient times to the present day in the History Study Center.

Gale Books and Authors
This English database includes 140,000 titles, 50,000 authors and thousands of read-a-likes, award winner and librarian's favorite lists. It provides innovative aspects for users to explore their beloved readings by combinations of books, authors, genres and topics.

Gale In Context: Opposing Viewpoints
Opposing Viewpoints in Context provides a complete one-stop source for information on social issues: the facts as well as the arguments of each topic's proponents and detractors. Unique features include Viewpoint articles — frameworks that allow students to explore each topic's many facets — and exclusive electronic access to Thomson Gale's Information Plus series featuring statistics and government data placed in context.

Gale Presents: Peterson's Test and Career Prep
Gale Presents: Peterson's Test and Career Prep is intended for those who aspire to study overseas.  It provides information on college planning, undergraduate and graduate programs, scholarship application and career development.  Practice tests for college entrance examinations and international examinations, as well as advice on resumes, cover letters, interviews and social networking are also available.

Kiss Holiday
"Kiss Holiday" is an interactive multimedia Chinese database based on the collection published by Chin-Chin Publications Ltd. in Taiwan. It aims to teach children the history and custom of 13 main festivals through animated stories, games and handcrafts. Parents and teachers can also use the teaching materials suggested to help their children learn more about these‘holidays’. Dialogues of stories are in Mandarin.

Newtonkids Digital Museum
It is an online collection of video materials from Taiwan for students and people who are interested to learn more about our Earth from various aspects, including animals, plants, ecology protection, weather and climate, natural landscapes, and earth science, etc. It provides about 300 video clips with Chinese narration and text description.

OmniFile Full Text Mega
OmniFile Full Text, Mega Edition provides a wide range of research resources. It contains full text of articles from over 3,100 publications dating back to 1994. It also contains abstracts and indexing from nearly 5,100 publications as far back as 1982. The subjects covered include applied sciences, art, education, humanities, law, social sciences and technology, etc.

Road to IELTS - Academic Module
