Remarks

(1) All libraries (except self-service library stations) will be closed on the following public holidays: New Year's Day, the first three days of the Chinese New Year, Good Friday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
(2) All libraries (except self-service library stations) will be closed at 5:00 p.m. on the following days with the opening time remaining unchanged: New Year's Eve, Chinese New Year's Eve, Mid-Autumn Festival and Christmas Eve.
  • When the days mentioned in item (2) above fall on a library closing day, the libraries will be closed.
  • When the days mentioned in item (2) above fall on a Sunday or a public holiday, the Hong Kong Central Library will be closed at 5:00 p.m., while the opening hours of other libraries will be the same as those for Sundays and public holidays respectively.
