Introduction:

The Documents Collection Campaign, launched by the Hong Kong Central Library in 2001, aims to collect documents of China or Hong Kong covering materials on arts, literature, society and history for reference and research by the public. The collectibles include rare books and old periodicals, celebrities’correspondences, manuscripts, maps and photographs, old documents of folk customs, etc. Besides, the Library also designated collection codes to well-known scholars such as the “Liu Ching-chih Collection”, “Liu Yi-chang Collection”, “Gao Lu Collection”, “Lau Wai-mai Collection”, “Shu Hong-sing Collection”, “Lo Hong-lit Collection”and “To Cho-yee Collection”, etc.
