Library Notice on Revised Fees and Charges

From 7 September 2017, the Hong Kong Public Libraries will revise the fees and charges for some of its services as follows:

$1.5 per item per day for library materials/accompanying library materials of the adult library, and the ceiling fine is $130 per item
$0.5 per item per day for library materials/accompanying library materials of the young adult library or children’s library, and the ceiling fine is $25 per item |

Reservation of library materials |
$3.3 per item |

Replacement of library cards / library cards for guarantor's use |
$33 per card for readers aged 18 or above $17 per card for readers under the age of 18 |

Refundable deposit for temporary library card for non-Hong Kong residents (No deposit is required for borrowers with guarantors) |
$170 per item, up to ten items for lending |

(5) |
Electronic lockers |
A User shall pay $1.5 to the Library for the use of a locker on each occasion. In the case of a school-bag deposited by a full time student or any item deposited by a disabled person or by a person of or over the age of 60, such deposit will be free of charge. |

* The free printing service of the Computer and Information Centre (CIC) / Computer and Information Area (CIA) will cease and all printouts will be chargeable.
