Literary Space in theatre with Prologue of the Drama "Mulan"
Presenter: Literary Doctrine
Performance rights granted by: The Theatre Wonderland
Theatre is literary. Literature is dramatic. The intertextuality of literature and theatre can enrich each other. The Theatre Wonderland performs and adapts the Yuefu poem "Mulan" which attracts both young and old. Not all literature can be translated into drama though. When it is presented as performance text, the interaction of actors, theatre space, props, language recreates the literary texts. You may find poetic interpretation and symbolic meaning on the stage. Or you may miss it. Director of the drama will also tell us how he shows his understanding of literature.
