The Hong Kong Central Library opened in 2001 and launched the Documents Collection Campaign and Hong Kong Music Collection Campaign in the same year. The two campaigns aim to arouse public awareness of the preservation of local literary documents and promote research in local culture. With the ardent support from scholars, authors, musicians and the general public in the past two decades, quite a number of valuable documents have been collected. The subject talk aims to introduce the work process, collectibles received and give readers a better understanding of the accomplishments of the two campaigns over the years.
