There will be special opening hours for Hong Kong Public Libraries on 1 October 2022 (National Day).

Latest arrangements on services of Hong Kong Public Libraries

To tie in with the Government’s latest anti-epidemic measures, members of the public must comply with the requirements of the Vaccine Pass and are required to scan the "LeaveHomeSafe" QR code or register their names, contact number and the date and time of the visit before admission for necessary contact tracing if a confirmed case is found. Please refer to the Details.

Calculation of overdue fines has been resumed from 5 May for late return of library items. Readers are advised to renew their borrowed items on time or return the overdue items as soon as possible in order not to incur overdue fines.

Jointly organised by Hong Kong Public Libraries, "Hong Kong Literature Bimonthly" and Hong Kong Flash Fiction Association
•2 series of workshops, one on each category namely Essays and Mini Novels.
•The number of participants for each workshop will be limited to 16#
•Participants will be selected on the basis of their written works submitted with their application. Applicant should submit an application form with corresponding genre work of less than 1000 words in Chinese.
•All workshops are conducted in Cantonese.

#Special seating arrangements and capacity control have been implemented. The quota for admission will be updated from time to time in the light of anti-epidemic measures in force.
