During the pre-war period, North Point and Tsat Tsz Mui were two distinct areas. North Point was merely a rural area where there were only a power plant and an oil tank. After the war, it underwent large scale development and has become a residential area. Tsat Tsz Mui, a place with a mysterious story, nurtured a winning female swimmer in the National Games and pioneered the beauty contest in Hong Kong. Refugee camps and prisoner-of-war camps were also situated along the waterfront. Like Four Wan and Nine Yeuk (officially known as the City of Victoria), it is worthwhile to revisit the stories of North Point.
Talk conducted in Cantonese. Limited seat. Free admission by phone at 2922 4055 from 6.1.2018 (Saturday).
