Create a NetLibrary Account

You can search and view titles in the HKPL e-Book Collection without a NetLibrary account. A NetLibrary account is only required to use some personalization features.

A NetLibrary account lets you access the HKPL e-Book Collection from any Internet connected computer 24 hours a day, 7 days a week without going through the HKPL website. An account lets you create a list of Favorites, make notes in individual full-text eContent items, and customize your account preferences. There are no membership/annual fees, maintenance costs, or hidden charges associated with your account. Except as noted in NetLibrary's privacy policy, personally-identifiable information will not be disclosed to any third party without the end-user's consent.

To create a NetLibrary account, you have to first login to NetLibrary through the HKPL website using your own HKPL library card number and PIN. After successful login, you may click on the "Create a Free Account" link on the upper right hand corner of the home page (see the picture below).

After you have created the NetLibrary account, you may access the HKPL e-Book Collection directly from the NetLibrary website (http://www.netlibrary.com) with your username and password.
