Computer and Information Centres /Areas
To promote computer literacy and facilitate public access to reference information, Computer and Information Centres/Areas have been set up in 25 public libraries. Readers may make use of the networked workstations to conduct research or access to the library's electronic resources. Services and facilities provided include:

commonly used software such as word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation;

application software such as web authoring, image and photo editing, drawing, and publishing (available in the Computer and Information Centres only);

access to the Library Catalogue, e-books, and online databases;

Internet browsing;

secured electronic transactions with e-Cert embedded in smart ID card (available at selected workstations only);

document scanning (except Stanley Public Library); and
-
CD burning (available in the Hong Kong Central Library only).
